What Does a NYC Vacation look like?

One of the biggest cities in the world, New York is always blooming with activity, with famous views everywhere around you and not enough time to enjoy all of them. Some come to NYC for enjoying the Broadway shows; others come just for shopping; and tonnes of people come to simply see the majestic sights: Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, The Central Park, iconic neighborhoods, and many world-renowned museums.

Here’s a list of places you should not miss visiting if you ever get the chance to:

  1. The Statue of Liberty

The iconic Statue of Liberty was France’s gift to America. Made in 1886, it is still a world-famous symbol of freedom and one of the greatest American icons. It is also included in the list of the world’s largest statues, and stands about 152 feet tall from the base to the torch, and weighs over 450,000 pounds.

To truly appreciate it’s beauty, it’s best for you if you take a short boat trip up to Liberty Island and see it from close. You can take a walk around its base, enter its pedestal, or, with advance reservations, even go right up to the crown.

  1. The Broadway and the Theater District

Being at a Broadway show is one of the best things you can make out of being in New York City. Broadway is arguably known as the pinnacle of American theater, and this is also the place to see the newest shows and also the long-running classics. Broadway generally implies only the Broadway theater, which also includes several amazing theater venues in the nearby Theater District and also along the Broadway street.

3. Times Square

Stud with gigantic, brightly lit billboards and LED mega-screens, Times Square is a place that’s totally worth spending an evening at. This is also where New York’s New Year’s Eve Celebrations and also the world famous “ball drop” take place at midnight when the square and surrounding streets are flooded by a sea of humans. Times Square is a very busy place and is usually crowded but it still has a unique charm of its own.

4. The Carnegie Hall

The iconic Carnegie Hall was established in 1891 as the first great concert hall of New York City. Legendary Musicians from Tchaikovsky, who conducted on opening night, to Leonard Bernstein and The Beatles have performed at the Carnegie Hall. It is home to a few of the best acoustics in the world. Although you can enjoy the hall and its grandeur simply by taking in a performance, yet the best way to learn about it is through a guided tour. The tour helps you get a detailed look at the hall, its construction, and also to get familiar with some of the artists who have performed on this iconic stage.
